This six hour practical course (delivered in 2 three hour sessions) is designed to help you get to grips with the basics of bike maintenance and repair.  You will learn about how your bike works, and how to fix common problems.  The course includes: fault finding, puncture repair, replacing brake blocks and cables, and how to keep a bike running smoothly. Tea and biscuits included in the price!

Junior bike mechanic 19th Feb 2019 – SOLD OUT

This February date is now sold out.  We will put another date on in the Easter Holidays.

This course is led by a fully qualified, DBS checked and insured mechanic. We will teach your young bike enthusiast:

  • how the bike works and common problems to look out for;
  • how to take a wheel off and replace it;
  • how to mend a puncture and replace the tube and tyre;
  • how brakes work and either how to replace brake blocks or rethread a cable.

Suitable for children from 9 -14 years old.
